New media is a term that describes traditional forms of media that have been transformed by advancements in digital technology and digital computing.
New Media in it’s current useage includes all forms of computer-enhanced communication. The latest form of mass communication developed by society always tends to called ‘New Media’. In the past it was radio, television, cable TV, satellite TV, etc.
Current examples of New Media communication are web sites, social networks, emails, CD-ROMs, DVDs, streaming audio and video, interactive multimedia presentations, MMS, SMS and computer animation.
