Faith-Based Online Social Media Network – cross.tv – Goes Global

The unique, interactive communication model of www.cross.tv allows members and visitors to access the site in more than twenty languages. Registered members can communicate in their native language through the use of an advanced language filtering system. Membership currently spans over 100 countries.

The online community combines the best of social networking with high quality HD streaming and a multilingual communications platform.

Founded by Andreas Kisslinger and Stefan Jager, currently residing in Vienna, Austria, cross.tv is quickly becoming the social network of choice for many Christians around the world.

“We allow people around the world to be easily united on a faith-based community platform in a way that has not been done before anywhere to our knowledge,” said Kisslinger. “Users are able to post and read in their own native language and at the same time connect with thousands around the world, present their own ideas and projects, as well as find out about others.”

“The wide range of functionality and media sharing opportunities enable ministries to reach more people in a greater efficient (and statistically trackable) manner. We enable people around the world to share their God given creativity and audio-visualized ideas,” he added.

cross.tv has developed many applications specifically designed with the cross.tv community in mind. One such new feature, introduced in February of 2009, includes a never before developed background designer tool. Users can create a background page that is unique to their tastes and moods. The feature also supports a wide range of design functionalities, including the ability to match colors and styles in keeping with corporate marketing campaigns and logos.

Users are free to upload videos, pictures, publish blogs, add friends and develop their own sub-networks for their families, churches, ministries or projects. They can also communicate with friends and members instantaneously through the cross.box tool, which allows instant message functions and media management.

Unlike other social networking websites such as Facebook and MySpace, having a dedicated online content monitoring team helps cross.tv offer a safe and clean community that can be accessed by all ages. All uploaded content are screened to ensure they maintain high standards and conform to family-friendly values.

High standards are not only found in the values cross.tv upholds, but also with the website development and video content produced by cross.tv. Their first commercial, entitled: “My.Space.Book.Flick.Tube” was recently awarded the prestigious Silver Telly Award.

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs and the finest in film and video productions. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. cross.tv is now a proud part of that heritage. Their second commercial: “Around the World in 30 Seconds” is set to launch in August 2009. Both videos can be found on http://www.youTube.com and on http://www.cross.tv.
